More than 130 executives from numerous international companies are our guests in St. Wendel.

For more than eleven years now, we have been organising the eCatalog Conference together with our partner companies. From 20.03.-21.03.2019 more than 130 executives of numerous international companies met at the Golfhotel St. Wendel. Together with our partners crossbase (Böblingen), Ergosign (Saarbrücken) and KiM (St. Wendel) we focused on topics such as product and offer configurators, PIM/crossmedia solutions with online catalogues, CAD/BIM component catalogues and user experience.

The event, which is aimed at manufacturers of variant-rich components and complex products, could be topped again this year. From the organisation to the speakers, the implementation of the golf hotel team as well as the weather, everything was just right. A further highlight: the appearance of the mentalist Thorsten Havener during the evening event. Mindreader Havener, who is well known from the radio and television, not only made the participants marvel and think, but also encouraged them to actively participate.

The goal of the eCatalog Conference is to increase the integration of the different partner solutions. By using the solutions, multiple maintenance of cross-used product information in marketing and engineering should be avoided. In addition, the partners enable the end customer to have a uniform product presentation in all communication channels mentioned.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to this year’s speakers:

For KiM:

Florian Ohmenhäuser (Häfele): Storage space 3D configurator in combination with augmented reality – sales support across several trade levels

Marcus Scheinberger (MÜPRO): CADClick® BIM technology at MÜPRO – Project planning, introduction and experience

Marcus Schütterle (ROMA): Our way to provide BIM/CAD data of complex, configurable products

For crossbase:

Sabrina Haas (CREATON): crossbase PIM at CREATON – Diary of a digital journey to Serviceland

For Ergosign:

Gerhard Walter (Leica Geosystems): The digital image of reality – The three-dimensional data acquisition with an excellent user experience

For Plan Software:

Aglaia Eck (Helios Ventilatoren): AIR1Select, a sophisticated design system and calculation program for ventilation units

In the Best Practice presentations, the participants were able to gain experience from practitioners for practitioners from already implemented projects. During the breaks the visitors could get comprehensive information about the news in the field of sales supporting software. Networking in particular has been a high priority since the beginning of the event and is used intensively by all participants. However, the visitors are not only from Germany. For example, the Helioz Group (USA and Croatia), iPROSTOR (Slovenia), KTM (Austria) and Viking S.A. (Luxembourg) were widely travelled guests in Saarland.

Having started with just under 30 visitors, the eCatalog Conference continues to develop steadily and now has well over 100 participants. We are already looking forward to the upcoming year and an exciting eCatalog Conference 2020.
